The Nordic Welfare Centre welcomes you to a seminar on drinking habits among youth and the elderly in the Nordic countries, 28 August 2018 in Oslo, Norway.

The seminar is a side event at the Nordic Alcohol and Drug Researchers' Assembly (NADRA) 2018.

At the seminar we will launch a report mapping current Nordic research on young peoples’ drinking habits and the driving forces contributing to the declining trend in drinking among youth.

A publication exploring the effect of increased drinking among the elderly on the health and care systems will also be launched. The publication sheds light on the issue of increasing drinking among older age groups from several viewpoints, such as professionals’ experiences of alcohol related issues among clients in home care and in care homes, intervention models for the elderly in home care, and alcohol use in retirement homes.

More information on speakers and the programme will follow!
